Charger for LiFePO batteries for 8S applications (24 volt application) with 5A charging current in an aluminum housing. The charger is equipped with active cooling and is protected against short circuits and reverse polarity. The charger charges using the CCCV (Constant Current, Constant Voltage) charging method. This means that charging is carried out first with a constant current and then with a constant voltage. When the store closes, only small currents flow so that connected balancers or BMS can balance the cells properly. All of our chargers are checked for their output voltage before delivery and set to the correct final charging voltage for LiFePO4 cells. Especially if the battery is operated with a BMS or balancer, the charging voltage must not be above 3.6V per individual cell, because otherwise, on the one hand, clean balancing would not be possible and, on the other hand, the BMS or the balancer works all the time (current ” would have to burn).
